| About Savannah House |
Our PhilosophySavannah House was established in 1997 by Owner and Interior Designer, Kathryn Edwards. Kathryn’s goal was to establish a business that could serve both the retail and designer needs, offering the most unique blend of high quality lamps and fixtures that would enhance the environments they blessed. Through many years already serving the interiors and lighting industry, seeing the market becoming so generic and disposable, Edwards created Savannah House to serve as an alternative choice for custom designed lamps and lighting fixtures that could be made by antiques, creating a wonderful mixture of light and art that will remain for years to come.
Our Team
About KathrynKathryn Edwards, owner of Savannah House, in Houston, Texas, is a licensed Interior Designer, certified by the Texas State Board of Architecture. Kathryn graduated in Interior Design from The University of Texas at Austin in 1978 and has been working in the interiors and lighting field continuously since 1975. She has a hands on approach to her shop and her Interior Design business, where she oversees the buying, the custom lighting designs and the interior design of her many residential and commercial clients. Kathryn gains much inspiration for her designs from nature, found in the rolling hills of her family ranch in Cat Spring, Texas. She is recognized frequently in the many Texas Antiques shows near Roundtop, Warrenton, Brenham, and Bellville Texas. She also enjoys spending time at the ranch drawing, painting, and playing the piano. Kathryn Edwards also devotes much of her personal time to support the “Camp For All” organization, which is a special needs camp in the nearby Brenham, Texas area that serves 56 different special needs organizations and over 7000 campers each year. Kathryn has gratefully served on the Friend’s Board of “Camp For All” for the past two years and also serves as President Elect of the Friends Board of Camp For All for the upcoming year of 2010.
